Kemi's Manga Day 2015 Summary

On Saturday (21st February) the Kemi's manga day event was held in Kemi, Finland. Just like the previous years I, Shiro Samurai and Hasakitsuki went there but this time neither of us cosplayed. This is also why there hasn't been any cosplay plan post for this event earlier. But fear not! Even if we didn't cosplay, we knew how to prepare for our quest, place our meats and run for our life...

Now enter the Tigrex siblings!

All photos taken by Shiro Samurai.

Yupp, we're totally having Tigrex (Monster Hunter) plush hats!
Yeah, that's what our trio looked like during the day. Our trio was also one of the earlier attendants as when we arrived somewhere around 10:00, the Sauvo talo was pretty silent and the Dealer's Hall sellers on the second floor -which was now accessible prior to last year- were organizing their merchandises. On the second floor you could also find the cafeteria, Artist's Alley and the main scene for the majority of the day's activities. The three of us had no interest in any of the activities for the day, as these were aimed for people who are new to cosplay. There really wasn't much to do so I will keep this summary short and sweet.

Early during the day our group went to buy some snacks in town for the event and the event lasted from 11:00-15:00. When we returned to Sauvo talo, I kept looking for Sacchan as I had a present for her but later found out that she was not coming to the event at all with good reasons. During the day I also heard from Shiro Samurai that Karri was supposed to come to the event too but we never saw him either. Luckily one guy saved -at least- my day from becoming boring and that was Olli - a fun and calm guy that we met for the first time at last year's manga day. Shiro Samurai went to photoshoot his cosplay at one point and the rest of the remaining hours of the event went to check the Dealer's Hall, Artist's Alley and chill at the cafeteria. While chilling at the cafeteria, Olli showed surprisingly much interest towards the game Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite that the rest of us were playing, so we took turns in answering his questions about the game and killed a G-rank dick head Khezu while at it. When the event was almost over, Olli left our company to go and eat with his other friends in town and our mom came afterwards to pick us up. This year I found the manga day to be more enjoyable as well and I don't know if it was just me, but I think there was more people attending the event than last year.

Before I end this post, here are 3 photos from the event!

Alright then, see you next time!

Frozen Angel out.

Lens Review: EOS New Adult Blue

It's review time!

The pair of lenses that I will review this time around is my beloved EOS New Adult Blue lenses! These seemingly also go under the name of EOS Blytheye Blue at some stores. I bought these lenses as a replacement for my Super Pinky Blue as I found the Super Pinky lenses to be too big and uncomfortable for my eyes. I am really satisfied with the change of brands. Now to the photos ~

Here are photos of the lenses when they were still in their vial bottles.

Photographer: Shiro Samurai

The following batch of photos are taken during sunny winter afternoon around 13:00.

Lens review:

Color: 9/10
The color is very clear and solid. I personally like the shade a lot.
Comfort: 10/10
These are a godsend. Period.
Design: 9/10
I have a thing for semi-natural patterns that have a strong yet clear color. Yum.
Enlargement: 5/10
The enlargement is below average but I prefer just that, as I have small eyes. Big lenses look creepy as hell on me...
Naturalness: 6/10
They don't really look freaky but they do have a costume-y look.
Opacity: 9/10
I find these covering my natural color pretty well. No complaints.
