Lens Review: Dueba Gossip Blue

Hello everyone.

I'm back from my absence (life got busy, busy) and with me, I have a lens review for you guys. This time I will be reviewing the Dueba Gossip Blue lenses that I got as a freebie during a past purchase from one of those big online lens stores. Since these were freebies I kinda, well, forgot about them... until recently. The story goes like this; For the longest time, I thought that I had given these off to my good friend Sacchan and because I was so sure this was the case, I didn't even bother checking my box with all of my unopened lenses until, well, much later, namely during the beginning of this week. I was really surprised to see that both the Dueba Gossip Blue and Green lenses where still in the box, unopened and with the expire date past. Like, a month ago. Comment: "Whoopsie daisy! :'DD".

Because these had already expired when I "re-discovered" them, I won't grade comfort on these lenses nor the Green's, that I plan to review in the near future. It's just not okay nor fair to grade and judge a pair's comfort when taking them out of their original vial bottles after the expire date has passed. It's just comfort gone wrong, simply. After doing this review, I discarded my Dueba Gossip Blue lenses immediately, despite that they felt surprisingly comfortable in my eyes. I'm not taking any risks with these lenses or my eyes (because life is worth seeing!) and neither should any of you, if a similar case ever comes your way.

Enough rambling, here are the photos!

Lenses in their original bottles.

The following photos are taken during a half cloudy, half sunny October morning/noon at Shiro Samurai's new apartment. The winter half year is approaching us northmen so the minutes and hours of sunlight is steadily decreasing day by day. Hence why I have to hurry up with some lens reviews before the -too long- polar nights hit us, hurray! #fuckwinter

One lens in. Notice enlargement.

Last but not least, have a derpy distance photo.

Lens review:

Color: 7/10
These have a fairly visible blue color but because there is also some black and yellow in it, it's not directly screaming blue and looks more natural. You can tell they are lenses but the color is not exactly visible at a distance.
Comfort: - / -
Won't be graded. See reason above at the beginning of this post.
Design: 4/10
They have a simple, natural design which is nice, if you like these types of lenses. Usually, I like natural patterns but the amount of yellow next to the pupil in these, is just a bit too much for my taste. Sorry, not my cup of tea.
Enlargement: 5/10
The enlargement is there, yes. Nothing too big so it looks good on my small eyes.
Naturalness: 7/10
I'd say the pattern and the variety of colors and shades of blue make these look more natural than some of my previous lenses. I guess these were supposed to imitate the natural variety of colors in the human eye.
Opacity: 6/10
I'd say these cover fairly well but they have a halo effect, which means there is some transparency going on. I seriously thought they would cover less at first. I have gray-green eyes so these are doing a good job.

Curious about other colors from Dueba Gossip? I have reviewed the following: Green

Thanks for reading and goodnight!
